ACLS Original

ACLS - AHA’s Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course is a one or two day advanced course that highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes. Course material has been updated to reflect new science in the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. This course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This course prepares students to recognize and provide care for cardiac emergencies. Through instruction and active participation in case-based scenarios, students enhance their skills in the diagnosis and treatment of pre-arrest, arrest and post-arrest patients. It is a two-year certification recommended for nurses, physicians, paramedics and other healthcare professionals requiring ACLS certification.
